Our Fees

Mental Health Assessment and Report Fees

Our Mental Health Assessment and Report Fees generally cover all aspects of your assessment and writing your medico-legal report.

All our clients are required to sign a costs agreement BEFORE commencing assessment or treatment with our team.

Our costs agreement outlines the additional fees which may be payable if any of the following services are also required:

  • Travel time
  • Court appearances
  • Obtaining medical records

Please ask our team for a copy of our costs agreement, which applies to all our medico-legal work.

Medico-legal Mental Health Assessments

Medico-legal Mental Health Assessments are generally assessments for court reports.

Whether you have been referred by your solicitor or other person for an assessment and report, your fees for all medico-legal appointments are payable immediately prior to your assessment session.

From time to time solicitors prefer to take our fees into their trust account. This must be arranged prior to your assessment.

What’s Included in Your Treatment Fees

Fees for a one hour Forensic Mental Health Treatment Session or a Standard Mental Health Treatment Session cover 45 minutes of face-to-face time with your clinician, as well as an additional 15 minutes after your appointment for the clinician to write up notes and make any necessary referrals.

Treatment fees remain the responsibility of the patient and are generally payable immediately after the treatment session.

A detailed breakdown of all our fees is outlined below for your convenience. Treatment and assessment sessions are generally GST free, while all other fees marked with an asterisk (*) already have GST included.

Payment Methods and Credit Card Surcharges

We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, EFTPOS or cash. Unfortunately we do not accept cheques. It is much more convenient for us to be paid by card than having to visit the bank to deposit cash.

We do not believe in passing on credit card surcharges, so if you pay in person in the office, there will be no surcharge applied to credit card payments.

However, if you choose to pay your invoice via the online software there is an automatic surcharge applied to your invoice by the software provider. To avoid this surcharge, we recommend making a bank deposit instead (details on the invoice) or attending the office to pay by credit card in person.
