If you are experiencing financial hardship, unable to pay your fines and you meet the eligibility criteria (see below) you may apply to complete a Work and Development Order.
A Work and Development Order allows you to have your state debt reduced by up to $1000 per month by doing either unpaid work, enrolling in courses, receiving counselling or mentoring or participating in an approved treatment program.
As an approved Work and Development Order (WDO) sponsor, the team at Ivy House Healthcare helps eligible clients to reduce their state debts by participating in a mental health treatment program at our clinic.
At Ivy house Healthcare we can assess your eligibility for a Work and Development Order, help you through the process and apply for the Work and Development Order on your behalf.

Ultimately, your eligibility for a Work and Development Order will be determined by the NSW State Debt Recovery Office.

Once you are accepted into the Work and Development Order program, if you fail to attend treatment sessions at the agreed frequency your Work and Development Order will be cancelled.

Please note – medico-legal appointments (generally assessment for court reports) are not eligible to count towards your WDO.
If you don’t comply with your WDO the NSW State Debt Recovery Office will cancel it and your overdue fines will need to be paid.
If your circumstances change and you are unable to complete the agreed WDO activities, you must let the NSW State Debt Recovery Office know as soon as possible.
